blessing for women

‘Weightless’ by Denis Sarazhin

Dear Women,

In this time of shattered mirrors and broken arms

There is nothing our soul longs for more

Than for you to know again the shores of safety

For the soft strength of love’s embrace to create for you a space of holding,

As you have held us, so tenderly, since long before we were born.

So may the vow to use life as an offering

Be remembered eternally,

As a father's lullaby of hope reverberates forever into the holding of Her most intimate reaches,

May the heart of courage reflect light into our deepest caverns,

So may your smile, your radiance, your every playful expression of your unfolding remind us, again and again and again,

To bear reverent witness in honour of that which is most precious, most sacred.

May the time when all mothers are happy arrive here, now

May we together weave our tapestry of wonder, of beauty, of love,

May we let go our arms and celebrate as one, in peaceful, joyful surrender.
